The system was designed to have as little visual impact on the site and included black monocrystalline solar panels and black mounting kit.
Project managed by Craig Tewley the site had a number of obstacles to overcome including a imitation slate tiled roof containing asbestos. Under our roofers supervision the asbestos removal company took away a number of asbestos tiles to allow us to replace them and fit the roof hooks supplied by Solar Limpets.
The system is forecast to generate 9,835kWh and avoid 4.4 tonnes of CO2 emissions in it’s first year. The savings on electricity for even this small size commercial system is over £34,000 over 20 years.
The system is fully optimised on the SolarEdge platform making it safe and also benefits from the additional yield given through the on roof electronics.
