Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire – Grant towards the installation of electric vehicle chargepoints and supporting infrastructure for small and medium-sized businesses.

Recieve up to five grants across five different sites. The grant covers 75% of the cost of the work, up to a maximum of £15,000. You can get:

  • Up to £350 per chargepoint socket installed
  • Up to £500 per parking space enabled with supporting infrastructure

Grants for landlords with rental and leasehold properties:

  • Grants are available to help landlords install electric vehicle chargepoints and supporting infrastructure in rental and leasehold properties. The grant covers 75% of the cost of the work, up to a maximum of £30,000.

You can receive up to 200 grants a year for residential properties, and a further 100 for commercial properties, as well as up to 30 grants each year for installing infrastructure in residential carparks.

Nottingham

Nottingham City Council – Business Decarbonisation Grant

The Business Decarbonisation Grant is available to independent retail businesses in Nottingham to support them in reducing their energy related overheads whilst also seeking to reduce the city’s CO2 emissions as a direct result.

  • The grant covers up to £10,000 (50% match), with potential uplift to £15,000.
  • Supports installation of solar PV and energy infrastructure projects in business premises.

Currently open (funding available until 6 March 2026).

York & North Yorkshire

York & North Yorkshire – Business Sustainability Programme

The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is using a proportion of its UKSPF allocation to deliver a Business Sustainability Programme.

The Combined Authority is offering this programme to businesses and farms across York and North Yorkshire. At its core, the programme is about supporting businesses, delivering climate action and contributing to the economic growth of the region.

  • Grants between £2,000 and £49,950, funding up to 60% of project costs.
  • Supports renewables, battery storage, energy efficiency, retrofit, climate resilience, biodiversity, and sustainable transport infrastructure.

Grant awards will be made on a rolling basis to projects approved at monthly decision panels, until such time as the fund is exhausted.  Early applications are encouraged to avoid disappointment.

Worcestershire

Net Zero Worcestershire grants is a grant funding scheme available to help Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Worcestershire to implement energy saving initiatives including LED lighting, heating and insulation and renewables. The initiative aims to support Worcestershire SMEs to make the transition towards a sustainable and low-carbon future. Funding available per area:

  • Bromsgrove District: £1,000 to £10,000
  • Malvern Hills District: £1,000 to £8,000
  • Redditch Borough: £1,000 to £10,000
  • Worcester City: £1,000 to £4,000
  • Wychavon District: £1,000 to £5,000
  • Wyre Forest District: £1,000 to £10,000

Grants are awarded on a competitive and match-funded basis, meaning the SME will need to provide at least 60% of the total cost of the project. Amounts available is subject to change.

North Somerset

North Somerset Council – Green Business Grants

The Green Business Grants from North Somerset Council helps businesses invest in energy efficiency upgrades to save money and carbon. Two types of grants are available:

  • Small capital grants range from £500 to £4,999.
  • Large capital grants range from £5,000 to £10,000 and require a carbon survey. 
  • Application deadline is the 30th  June 2025

Eligible technologies include solar PV, air source heat pumps (ASHPs), and energy efficiency measures. Small grants (£500–£4,999) require no carbon survey, while larger grants (£5,000–£10,000) require completion of a carbon survey.

Newark & Sherwood

UKSPF – Business Growth and Productivity Grant (Newark & Sherwood)

The UKSPF Business Growth and Productivity Grant is open to micro‑ and small‑sized enterprises (up to 50 FTE) that have been trading for 12 months or more and are based in the Newark & Sherwood District.

  • Grant funding between £2,500 and £10,000 is available toward projects that improve productivity, create jobs, or increase environmental sustainability within your business premises. Applicants must provide at least 40% match funding.
  • Awarded projects must be completed by 31 January 2026.
  • Applications close at 23:59 on 16 July 2025.

Eligible technologies include rooftop solar PV, energy efficiency upgrades (like LED lighting, insulation), and other sustainability improvements that enhance productivity and environmental impact.

UKSPF – Rural England Prosperity Fund Grant (Newark & Sherwood)

The UKSPF Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) Grant is available to community groups, charities, rural SMEs (up to 50 FTE), and higher education and further education providers based in designated rural areas of Newark & Sherwood (excluding areas such as Newark Town, Balderton, and parts of Clipstone deemed non‑rural).

  • Capital grant support ranges from £10,000 to £40,000 per project and must contribute to rural economic growth—such as community infrastructure, EV charging, heritage projects, tourism, or food production.
  • Match funding is 40% for SMEs and 20% for community organisations.
  • Applications close at 23:59 on 16 July 2025.

Eligible technologies include solar PV, EV charging infrastructure, heritage energy efficiency measures, food production innovations, and community infrastructure aimed at rural economic growth.
