More and more businesses are now looking to make a difference in the battle against climate change. A large number have dedicated their support to the cause, with 20 multinational businesses now committed to the 1.5°C climate goal.
These firms, that are worth more than £1.37 trillion combined, have made the pledge through the science-based targets initiative – to limit global temperature increases to 1.5°C.
However, you don’t need to be a multinational business to make a difference.
Everyone can start to help – from individuals through to smaller businesses too.

The companies in question include the likes of AstraZeneca, Vodafone, Unilever and Zurich Insurance.
Their aim is to stop global temperatures from rising by more than 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels and to work towards reaching net-zero emissions by no later than 2050.

These include the likes of BT, SAP and Levi Strauss & Co.
This call for change all comes from the recent report set out by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). They warned that if global warming exceeded a further 1.5°C, there could be some disastrous consequences.
These targets have also been put in place in order to push companies to invest in zero-carbon technologies in order to change their current business models.
