πŸ’œ Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week πŸ’œ

May 2, 2024

Between the 29th of April – 5th May we dedicate this week to discuss mental health problems before, during and after pregnancy.

Maternal mental health is often overlooked, but did you know 20% of new and expectant mothers are affected by mental health struggles in the UK each year?

At a time that is mainly associated with positivity and celebration many women find it difficult to deal with the stigma around struggling with their mental health.

If you are struggling with mental health after having a baby don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help. The most important thing to remember is that you are not alone, there is support out there. Speak to your GP, health visitor or one of the helplines listed below.

Some of the available helplines in the UK are:
– MumsAid: 07758 763908
– Association for Post Natal Illness: 0207 386 0868
– PANDAS: 0808 1961 776
